Therefore, a particular design of card mount used in Manchester would be used at approximately the same time in York and Brighton as well — in fact countrywide.

Generalizations are usually worthless, but you can pretty much take this one to the bank. Think about it, a biography is a sweeping portrait of a life or a career. It covers vast swaths of material that the author must make immediately understood within the context of an individual and their life. To understand George Washington, you have to understand the American Revolution.

To understand Rockefeller, you have to explain the Gilded Age. To understand Amelia Earhart, the author must make real to the reader what it was like to be a woman in the early s.

Beyond what might be considered a traditional closeness with her mother, Hillary Clinton has described Dorothy Rodham as a crucial figure in life, not just a mentor and role model but one who had a story that sparked part of her lifelong mission on behalf of children’s rights and protection. Were it not for the care, direction and attention from a neighborhood woman who Dorothy worked for as a “mother’s helper,” it is unlikely the young girl would have developed a sense of her own potential.

However, throughout all those years, not one artist has attempted to create an interpretation of what Mary, Mother of Jesus looked like based on the Shroud image. Until now, that is. In July of my good friends Bill and Belenna Lauto directed me to the website of digital artist Dean Packwood in Taupo, New Zealand and shared his beautiful, photorealistic rendition of Mary, Mother of Jesus with me.

Dean chose the Shroud of Turin image as the structural basis for his truly beautiful, completely digital artwork and I wanted to share it with you. So I sent Dean a request for permission to include his painting here on our website and he graciously agreed to share it with us.
